Te āheinga: The opportunity
Unitec offers the Bachelor of Nursing (BN) programme, which is held at the Waitākere campus in Henderson. We believe in positively impacting our communities, and our team is passionate about developing well-educated, research-informed nurses and adept in critical thinking.
We are seeking a Registered nurse, who is passionate about nursing education and has experience in the areas of primary health and general acute areas of nursing.
The role is to support the delivery of courses across the programme, promote evidence-based nursing knowledge and support learners in clinical areas.
This position will enable you to develop your skills in various areas, including course delivery, supporting learners in the simulation lab and clinical areas while working within a supportive team environment.

Benefits of working at Unitec in the Nursing School include working as a member of a committed team of nurse lecturers/clinical teachers while engaging with the clinical areas.
In addition, being able to influence the community of Waitakere through the support/training of nursing students who will then be able to support the maintenance of physical/mental/emotional health for people in Waitakere and wider communities. The Waitemata DHB require more Registered Nurses to be trained and committed to the Waitakere community to ensure sufficient resources to support the growing healthcare needs in this area.
