We are looking to appoint an excellent Education Welfare Officer to our team. In this important role, the successful candidate will lead the school’s attendance team in providing the strategic, operational and administrative support to improve attendance in line with the school’s targets. Your work, in promoting and building a positive attendance and punctuality culture, will support students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with parents and carers to improve their child’s attendance, thus improving children’s access to education and the opportunities for their future.

We are looking for someone:
Who is educated to degree level or equivalent

To be patient and understanding with excellent listening and communication skills and a non judgmental approach

Understand the importance of confidentiality and the need to deal with matters in a sensitive manner

Have very good organisational and administrative skills and the ability to maintain thorough and accurate records.

Be proactive and solution focused

Ideally you will have already worked in a school or college setting in a similar role.
