Summary You will serve as a GG-07 ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST performing basic and routine duties of analytical and evaluative tasks and advising on services, requirements, processes, procedures, and policies of administrative functions in an organization’s for a program or administrative area as well as processing military and civilian personnel awards for worldwide staff at the Headquarters of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES. Responsibilities You will learn the requirements of updating awards policy and procedures and work with team members regarding changes to award timeframes and deadlines. You will coordinate with and advise managers and supervisors on awards procedures and guide managers in arranging award ceremonies. You will analyze information to be used for briefings and meetings and prepare read-ahead binders for senior level briefings. You will provide administrative support on matters associated with a variety of personnel, training, evaluations, fitness reports, and travel issues. You will maintain office files of correspondence, directives, regulations, and other information. You will determine distribution and routing of incoming correspondence. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Participate in the preparation, coordination and presentation of various award ceremonies 2. Prepare award certificates and correspondence using Microsoft Word and Power-point 3. Ensure accuracy of and correct formats for correspondence to leadership and follow procedures pertaining to administrative functions for obtaining signature on documents 4. Organize appropriate logs and files in electronic filing system OR I have successfully completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree. OR I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education.
