Lead Software Engineer – Dublin (Remote)

About the role:

As Lead Developer, you will be a key part of driving development and testing of our Data Resolution and risk engine which is being built with an Agile approach. You will be responsible for driving innovation, documentation and team processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the leadership team to help drive priorities and communicate status.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Hands on software development whilst leading the team
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion to prioritize, plan and manage the activities of the team
• Identify enhancements to improve supportability, operability, or performance of applications within the application suite
• Manage roadmaps, strategy, design, and priorities across accountable teams
• Deliver mission critical, 24X7 systems in an Agile delivery model
• Mentor the engineering team members to develop and perform as highly as possible
• Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, globally distributed teams
• Ability to communicate with senior level internal and external stakeholder representatives in a rational and measured manner to communicate project progress, issues, risks and solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Strong, demonstrable experience developing software using Java
• Good experience with Microservices architecture
• Experience leading and mentoring a team
• Experience with streaming technology ie. Kafka, MQ experience
• SQL experience
