This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily tasks and oversee audits for quality control/appropriate quantity while maximizing staffing availability in response to changing volumes of work while maintaining staffing metric expectations in line with departmental budget.
• Monitor individual employee production and adherence to company and department policies followed up by corrective action.
• Represent and be actively involved in new and existing contract modifications and process implementation as well as participate in process changes and process efficiency with all internal operational units affected.
• Approve and manage employee timesheets, time off requests, overtime, FMLA leave, schedule changes, write/deliver performance evaluations, develop annual SMART goals and all other personnel issues.
• Provide guidance and coordinate training for essential job responsibilities to ensure compliance with department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop and maintain operating policies, procedures and standards.
• Assist in coordinating the workflow between several departments for maximum productivity in the processing of LHI services.
• Proactively and persistently pursue resolution of technical problems and upgrade requests for internal and external systems.
• Respond to customer complaints, provider network and internal operational department’s questions or concerns. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Establish, implement and monitor work performance metrics for all DC staff.
• Motivate and promote a positive work environment for DC staff.
• Monitor individual employee performance in adherence to department and company requirements. Provide guidance and feedback concerning the strengths and development needs in relation to current job performance as well as career development. Address performance concerns through coaching and corrective action as needed. Write and deliver periodic Performance Evaluations and Performance goals.
• Run queries and analyze data to determine best utilization of departmental staff resources in relation to work volume and skill sets of staff.
• Coordinate and provide New Hire Training and guidance for essential job responsibilities to ensure compliance with department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop and maintain standard operating work instructions.
• Plan, organize and coordinate projects and/or special studies related to DC to recommend changes that maximize operational efficiency
• Manage hiring process to include reviewing applications, interviewing, and making hiring decisions for the department.
• Administer training evaluations and organize feedback for evaluation by training group
• Manage fluctuations in daily workflow by making staffing adjustments as necessary.
• Directly responsible for the productivity and quality performance of staff.
• Accurately complete daily, weekly, monthly reporting requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of staff throughout the organization and act as primary liaison between operational departments (specifically regarding issue resolution, processes, training, education and support for the contract). Also provide support to ensure that all parties, both internal and external, move together toward meeting the goals of the program.
• Act as the Operations Managers representative as necessary. Take over as facilitator in the Operations Managers absence.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree (or higher)
• Experience with medical and dental documentation and terminology, customer services and/or call center experience
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic file/database management experience
• Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Career Readiness Certificate
• Project Management experience, healthcare related field experience, and knowledge of military databases (MedPros, MODS, HRR, MedPros Web Data Entry). Familiar with military acronyms
• Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience
• 4+ years similar of related work experience with 2+ years of leadership experience in a corporate setting, including Hiring and interviewing processes, Delegation of workload and staffing and Performance management

• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $18.17 – $32.26. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $20.00 – $35.53.
