The UCL Faculty of Population Health Sciences (FPHS) brings together eight academic departments whose common aim is to explore and understand the underlying factors that cause ill-health, and innovate to improve health worldwide. We have recently reorganised our Education Administration and Student Experience (EASE) team across the Faculty and have formed new hubs to support our different types of students: Postgraduate Taught (PGT); Postgraduate Research (PGR); Undergraduate/Online; UCL East.
We are looking to fill a new role in one of our Postgraduate Research (PGR) hubs. This position will provide specialist administration to designated PGR degree programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of the administration. The role holder will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated PGR programmes. They will provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processing student records. This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site. This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff. Applicants should have a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent, or similar relevant work experience. They must have worked in a busy office environment, preferably within higher education. Sound administrative and organisational are essential, along with a good set of IT skills. They must have the ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, and the desire to offer a high level of service. They must have good interpersonal skills, be able to work well as part of a team, and the ability to liaise with a variety of people and establish good working relationships with staff and students in a teaching and learning context. They will have experience of organising and servicing committees.
