Lecturer in Management (Teaching and Research)

The Business School comprises related disciplines: Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Business Management, and Real Estate. The University is ranked 4th in the UK – and 2nd in Scotland, (2022) for overall student satisfaction out of 122 UK higher education institutions in the National Student Survey (NSS), rising from 5th In the UK, 2021.
The Business School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Management (Teaching and Research). We welcome applications from all areas of management, including applicants with an interest in entrepreneurship, data analytics, operations, and supply chain management.
We look to appoint academics who understand and have experience of delivering teaching to and assessing international students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level including Senior Executives, both face-to-face and online. We are seeking to appoint individuals who are ready to join an ambitious school and take on responsibility for a growing curriculum as well as conduct impactful high-quality research.
As a Lecturer in Management, the person in this post will teach on a broad range of lectures and tutorials and undertake administrative duties as necessary. The person will also engage with research outputs and delivery of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience in Higher Education teaching and evidence of potential for research excellence are important requirements. Those who have not yet completed their PhD must be close to submission and/or awaiting their Viva. We particularly seek persons who are:

High research potential – Applicants should be able to demonstrate ability or potential to publish in high quality journals and engage in impactful research.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £43,414 – £51,805 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
Appointments made will be subject to satisfactory references and applicable probation period.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
