Following the internal 2-year secondment of the current Head of Student Records, we are seeking an experienced manager to lead the Student Records Team and to lead on a project to help deliver the Data Strategy for Education Services.
The Student Record Team is responsible for maximising the accuracy and quality of student data in support of strategic planning, statutory returns, programme and examination enrolment, collection of tuition fee income, graduation, student status and student satisfaction. Your role is to ensure that the operational and processes for records are fit for purpose and aligned with University statutory requirements and that the standards for record keeping, retention and use align with University policy. Representing the team in various fora, you will also collaborate with colleagues to ensure the student record information meets statutory and internal needs and work together to deliver agreed changes.
The team is based within Education Services, and its Senior Leadership Team has recently set an ambition to have a consistent data set across its full portfolio. This role will lead on the initial phase of this work, which is to research into and describe the current data set provision and to recommend steps required to enable a consistent data set across Education Services.
This role will require you to have proven leadership skills and experience of project and change management. You should be IT literate, and have effective interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to collaborate, work flexibly and to co-ordinate multiple activities to meet set deadlines are also important.
