Āu Mahi | What You Will DoAs Finance Manager in the Child Well-being Research Institute, you will provide financial oversight, advice and forecasting for the Institute. The role will take responsibility of all financial analysis, oversee tasks are conducted using current systems and are in compliance with current policies.

Mōu | Who You Are

Role

You will have a university qualification and experience in financial/business related field (e.g. qualified accountant). To be successful in this role, you will have:

• extensive experience with a large financial system package, preferably oracle financials
• experience in research grant activity or university sector desirable
• general accounting principles, procedures, policies and systems knowledge
• skills interpreting financial accounts and reports from finance information systems
• experience working with budgets, forecasting and journals
• accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail, together with the ability to maintain standards under pressure.

You will also be self-motivated and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, supporting your ability to develop effective working relationships with a variety of people.

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work WithYou will be working closely with a dynamic, interdisciplinary group of researchers and professional staff as part of the Child Well-being Research Institute team. The institute is where ‘nurturing research excellence to support children’s holistic well-being’ takes place. You will located at Manawa, a state-of-the-art health and education research hub in Christchurch’s central city. You will report to the Director of the Child- Well-being Research Institute.
