Are you looking for a new challenge in a vibrant, dynamic and diverse environment? The University of East London is seeking an individual with an in-depth knowledge and experience of student immigration and compliance.
As an International student adviser, you will provide high quality immigration advice services to applicants, current students, recent graduates and their dependents, in accordance with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) Code of Standards and the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA)/Association of International Student Advisers (AISA) Code of Ethics. In addition, you will undertake specialist immigration casework with international students using knowledge of the relevant Immigration Rules and to prepare and deliver a programme of workshops and stop press briefings relevant to the needs of students and staff at UEL.
To succeed in the role, you will have a degree or equivalent experience/qualification. It would also be desirable if you have a postgraduate degree and/or appropriate professional qualification, e.g. PG Certificate International Student Advice and Support. You will have the ability to understand, summarise and convey complex information that needs careful explanation or interpretation.
