We are looking to appoint a well-organised and customer-focused individual, possibly with an understanding of the Student Visa Route and associated compliance issues, to join our Governance & Legal Services team.

Your focus will primarily be in relation to the Student Visa Route but will also include wider sponsorship duties placed by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for other visa routes such as Short-Term Student, Start up and Skilled Worker visa. You’ll support the work of the International Student Advice team by assisting to providing, guidance to ensure high service standards and to provide appropriate relevant information and advice on a range of international student issues. Managing and supporting the Pre-CAS processes, by checking TB tests and maintenance documents meet UKVI requirements in a timely manner and offer guidance to agents, students and applicants the UKCISA Code of Ethics will be important too.

Experience of experience of working in an advice/compliance role in relation to the student visa route, and other student related immigration routes is highly advantageous. Having an ability to organise workload and clarify clear task objectives for team members and actively contribute to team morale, you will have excellent project planning and organisational skills.

What’s more, you’re able to communicate complex information that needs careful explanation or interpretation to a range of stakeholders, e.g. legislation or regulations. A willingness to sometimes work flexible hours is also required, as is a flair for identifying and proposing solutions to new issues and exploring ways to improve levels of service.
