We are looking to recruit an Assistant Head of Student Wellbeing Services ( Mental Health). The successful candidate will be an experienced lead practitioner with proven managerial experience gained within disciplines such as mental health services, clinical psychology, or social work. Relevant professional training and accreditation needs to be supplemented by substantial post-qualification practice in the field of mental health crisis and support. Working with the Head of Student Wellbeing Services you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high quality professional clinical services, which will effectively support our student’s mental health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and full professional membership/ accreditation in / mental health care e.g. RCN/HCPC
In addition, you will enjoy the challenge of creating new ways to deliver a proactive and responsive service which meets the changing needs of our students. You will demonstrate effective interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload. You will also have the ability to provide information, training, advice and consultancy support for staff throughout the university.
The post-holder will be required to attend Open Day and Student Recruitment events outside of normal office hours, as part of a team rota.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 therefore the successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced Data and Barring Service check.
