The Customer Experience & Insight Group is part of the Information Services Directorate, and its staff provides all frontline services in the Brynmor Jones Library.
The Library attracts several thousand people every day and is at the heart of the academic life of the University. This important and demanding post involves continual interaction with the students, staff and external users of the Library.
As a Customer Experience Advisor, you will have a direct impact on the student experience, and need to be committed to providing an outstanding level of service in a busy and complex environment.
Customer Experience Advisors must have experience working in a front-facing customer service environment, possess good IT skills, have the resilience and initiative to work in a demanding frontline role, and be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. You must be capable of handling and pushing book trolleys and reaching high and low bookshelves.
We want to give an inspirational service to our students every day of the week, including the weekends. Working shifts could fall across any day of the week, Monday to Sunday. Your normal working week will involve you working 5 over 7 days. The Library is open 24/7 throughout most of the year, and is staffed from 8.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday.
We are recruiting predominantly for full time roles, however there is scope for positions ranging from 10 – 36.5 hours per week, which will include both evening and weekend working.
