Communications Manager (Student Education Service)

Are you a creative communications professional, able to build and deliver audience-centred communications plans to inform, engage and inspire? Can you build proactive relationships with a range of colleagues to manage change and create the best possible experience for colleagues delivering student-related activities?

Leeds’ Student Education Service (SES) is a large, multi-function team, located throughout the campus and with some colleagues working remotely. The work of the SES is critical to the experience we offer our students.

We are looking for an experienced communications practitioner to join the Student Communications and Engagement team to help us embed our SES Service Culture, developing a sense of belonging throughout the Service and engaging colleagues with change. You will play a role in developing communications and engagement mechanisms for the Service and wider University community, helping to increase understanding and engagement with the SES vision and strategic priorities for Student Education.

You will be confident in planning and delivering a range of communications and engagement opportunities, including events, activities, networks, roadshows and focus groups, and away days. You will be comfortable engaging colleagues with change, and you will work closely with a range of stakeholders including the SES leadership team, SES training and development manager, members of the SES management team, professional services colleagues and academic leads. You will report to the Head of Student Communications and Engagement.
