Salary: Grade 8 (£43,414 – £51,805 p.a. depending upon experience)
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The University of Leeds Digital Education Service (DES) is an award-winning provider of a wide range of digital education solutions including online courses and digital tools and systems. We are seeking an experienced manager with strong strategic and people management skills to lead our evaluation and innovation function across the Service’s range of activities and projects. This is a senior position and will play a crucial role in embedding evaluation and enabling innovation across all of our activity. All activity will be in line with the vision and ethos of the University and the University’s Student Education and Digital Transformation strategies.
You will have proven experience of leading the efficient delivery of evaluation and analytics services. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a high-level of attention to detail. You will have substantial experience of leading and developing a team, and be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional management team.
Reporting to the Interim Head of Engagement and Innovation, you will play a lead role in developing relationships with University stakeholders including Business Intelligence and Data Analytics (BIDA) and the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence. You will be able to work with students, professional services, and academic staff to identify research questions, and lead the design of analysis methodology, define and optimise operational processes and solutions and communicate these to a non-technical audience.
As part of the Digital Education Service Senior Leadership team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the Service’s overall mission, vision, and strategy, providing expert leadership to strategic workstreams. This exciting role will suit a dynamic individual with proven experience in building relationships and managing people and processes, accompanied by technical aptitude and ability to draw insight from data.
