The University of Maryland School of Social Work is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator for Research and Academics to work with faculty in areas of teaching and research.This position, funded by the School of Social Work (SSW), supports the teaching and research efforts for the School. The Program Coordinator position involves working closely with the Senior Associate Dean for the School and the Associate Dean for Research. The individual will be expected to act independently, in addition to working on teams to support faculty and staff in supporting the MSW program, research goals and infrastructure. Essential Functions * Function as a professional coordinator with ability to work independently and collaboratively on teams. * Support individual faculty and staff, in addition to MSW-focused faculty committees, in scheduling and managing meetings and helping with special projects. * Work collaboratively with faculty to support SSW departments in identifying and collecting data to inform decision-making and organizational planning. * Perform organizational duties, including supporting communications and promoting work done by faculty and research staff throughout the SSW and UMB community, and helping to prepare materials to be shared with the public, in partnership with SSW marketing and communications departments. * Assist with planning and advertising for webinars and trainings, and help to manage financial aspects of training expenses. * Support research faculty and staff in preparing documents for large grant applications. * Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. Demonstrate skill in understanding cultural differences. * Perform other duties as assigned. Education:Bachelor’s degree required. Master of Social Work, or master’s degree in a related field, is preferred. Experience:One (1) year administrative or program coordination experience.
