Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Leads and directs the development, implementation and oversight of Supply Chain and inventory management standards and procedures. Collaborates with the Directors of Perioperative Services (PS) to set priorities and implement problem solving initiatives. Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of process improvements to ensure compliance of customer service and delivery standards. Provides day-to-day direction to Perioperative Services Supply Chain staff that is responsible for centralized inventory, anesthesia inventory, shipping and receiving and instrument repairs to ensure appropriate inventory levels and optimal communication with customers.

Essential Duties:
Work with Perioperative Services (PS) leadership and staff, Corporate Purchasing and vendors to ensure optimal customer service to the surgical team. Oversee Supply Chain staff responsible for ordering, receiving and maintaining minimum inventory levels to meet PS customer services objectives. Establish and maintain optimal communication standards with surgeons, schedulers, nursing and other PS staff. Optimize capabilities of ASC, ERecord, SYMPLR and other software programs to proactively assess requirements.
Resolve issues, conduct impact analyses and work collaboratively with Perioperative and Supply Chain leadership to evaluate and implement process improvements. Oversee the development, analysis and distribution of various reports including, but not limited to, back orders, non-item file requests, invoice discrepancies, inventory reports. Create and analyze on-going tracking and benchmarking reports. Oversee, direct and report semi-annual inventory counts.
Lead continual improvement and cost reduction opportunity activities. Identify, recommend and implement solutions for any problem relating to the product, process and/or system. Oversee PS vendor relations, vendor/supplier performance objectives, and direct program activities.
Supervise, evaluate, conduct discipline actions and hiring/firing decisions for the staff in the ordering & receiving, repairs and center core stocking area. Oversee the training and development of all department employees to ensure current and future objectives are met.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and System Value Analysis leadership to facilitate new product requests. Work with Corporate Purchasing to ensure the addition of appropriate new products into ASC. Research, identify and gain approval for back order substitutions. Oversee and direct the Product Recall process.
Member of the New Tech Committee and Perioperative Finance Oversight.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities:
Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the Director of Materials Management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree preferred; or equivalent experience.
Experience: Four years of related materials experience, preferably in a Perioperative or surgical environment. Three to five years of Supervisory experience preferred.
License/Certification Required
Skills: Management, Process improvement, interpersonal, excellent oral/written communication skills, leadership and Microsoft skills.
