We are recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Advisor within Student & Education Services. You will be part of a team of staff who support the wellbeing of students across a 24/7 timeframe.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm. You would be expected to work across our main Student Hub on our Highfield campus.
The Student Wellbeing Advisor role is an integral role in a hardworking, compassionate, and committed team to provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing poor wellbeing, mental health or distress.
The position will involve being part of our Open-Door service, conducting Wellbeing Chats, as face to face and virtual contact with students is a day to day task. It is vital that you can maintain accurate professional records, using appropriate levels of confidentiality and responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns that may arise.
The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and agencies including the student discipline team, personal academic tutors, the NHS, and the police to enable the Wellbeing team to provide effective support to those impacted. Therefore, the person should have good written and verbal communication skills.
