The University of Sussex Business School is seeking to recruit an Alumni Relations Manager based within the Development and Alumni Relations Officer, who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the University of Sussex Business School’s Alumni Engagement Strategy for fostering excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen the relationships between the School and its alumni community.

The role requires demonstrable experience of having developed and implemented Alumni Engagement Strategy and delivering a broad range of events, activities and communications linking the Alumni community with the broader Business School and University communities.

The Alumni Relations Manager will develop a strong culture of reciprocity between the Business School and its alumni whereby alumni are able to give back to Sussex by volunteering, donating and providing work experience and career mentoring.

The Business School supports alumni by offering access to an international network, professional development via mentoring and networking and keeping alumni up to date with news, signposting to careers advice and opportunities for lifelong learning.

The Alumni Relations Manager will develop the alumni community and working with the network of volunteers and consuls globally. The role holder will design, implement and oversee an effective programme of events for alumni and appropriate constituents, domestically and internationally.

The role holder will work with the Associate Dean of Education and Students to involve volunteer alumni to inform the development of the curriculum and to work with the academic community to provide opportunities for alumni to work with students.

The role holder will be responsible for raising awareness amongst staff and students of the active Business School alumni network and encourage their involvement, participation and contributions to it.

They will produce regular communications across all platforms in both digital and print forms to both alumni and students to promote and highlight opportunities for them to connect.

The role holder will continue to develop and maintain the alumni and student mentoring platform ‘Sussex Connect’.
