Mail Services Clerk

Hourly Wage

ISS offers a competitive compensation package including Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a starting hourly salary of 17.00-18.00 USD

Key Purpose

This position performs inbound mail services and tasks including, but not limited to, sorting, scanning, and electronically distributing inbound mail. In addition to inbound mail fulfillment, this position will assist with processing inbound equipment returns and other deliveries to the site and support outbound operations including packing and shipping equipment and other materials shipping to client’s employees.

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

• Support the team, and report to the Logistics Manager
• Communicate effectively with colleagues within the Business Unit and across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required
• Ensure highest level of service in maintaining clean and organized mail area, physically, and high level of diligence to keep electronic copies of procedures and point of contact details current and accurate
• Efficiently and accurately pack equipment and swag around the US and world. Cross-train to be able to operate FedEx shipping software to process domestic and international shipments
• Efficiently and accurately receive packages from carriers; communicate effectively with client and internal partners on delivered packages and routing instructions
• Provide general logistics and office support, assisting with range of departmental or general business needs

Ideal Candidate Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• 0 – 1+ year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, spreadsheets and data entry required
• Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills
• Perform sensitive and confidential tasks

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to lift packages and sacks, trays, and tubs of mail up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and kneel frequently.
• Must be able to spend a large part of the day standing and moving around.
• Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
