USC Hiring for Host Trainee at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

Classical KUSC in Los Angeles is offering a rare opportunity for you to develop your passion into a potential career. USC Radio Group includes two major classical stations and is the largest classical radio service in the United States. KUSC is in downtown Los Angeles and serves communities throughout Southern California. KDFC is in downtown San Francisco, serving the Bay area and other communities in Northern California. The stations are licensed to the University of Southern California, one of the leading research universities in the nation, with a respected commitment to classical music, arts, and the community.

Talent Development Program Overview

The Host Trainee will learn to host and produce audio for regular feedback with a goal to host and produce audio for various time slots on the radio and digital platforms. The Host Trainee will also spend time with station hosts and producers. The Host Trainee will learn all aspects of the radio station processes and operations. The Host Trainee will also have opportunities to host, produce and create digital content for our website and branded social platforms. Community engagement and events are also a priority. The Host Trainee will be hired on a short-term contract lasting 6 months, with potential for longer term opportunities. Compensation and flexible work hours are negotiable.
