Vander Haag’s Inc. Hiring for Dismantler (Demanufacturing Technician) at Spencer, IA Full Time

The Dismantler (Demanufacturing Technician) is responsible for the safe removal of used, core, and scrap truck parts according to the dismantle list. They are required to remove and reclaim all fluids or waste associated with the chassis. They also participate in part inspection and quality control.

We have an immediate opening for a full time position in our Spencer, IA, location.

General responsibilities include:

• Safe removal of all truck & equipment parts.
• Mark or tag all parts associated with the vehicle in the dismantle bay.
• Follow the dismantle list from start to finish paying close attention to the details.
• Work with department lead to identify and update part descriptions if necessary based on part inspection/quality control.
• Removal and proper containment of fluids such as oil, fuel, gas, coolant, power steering fluid and DEF.
• Reclaim Freon from the refrigerant systems.
• Capability to diagnose and repair when needed.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage plus an excellent commission-based incentive that is paid on a monthly basis.

Some prior mechanical experience is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided as well as post-hire certification courses (paid for by the company).

Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday (40+ hours/week).
