VCA Canada Animal Hospitals are currently welcoming Veterinary Technicians to join our amazing teams in Eastern Canada. You will have an opportunity to use your skills to their fullest potential! It’s okay if you are not fully comfortable with all the procedures you learned in school – we will provide the training and mentorship you need to help hone your skills and help you specialize in the areas you’re passionate about!
Requirements:
- Have completed (or in final year) two-year diploma in Veterinary Technician or Animal Technologist program from a recognized institution
- Knowledge of clinical procedures; Venipuncture, Catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment
- Knowledge of surgical preparation, surgical assistance, and patient recovery
- Willing to further enhance technical skills in the above procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
- Proven ability to keep accurate patient records
- A love for all companion animals!!
