Job Purpose:
The Corporate Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for recruiting entry to Vice President level associates for VCA’s corporate office. This role will support Finance & Accounting, People & Organization (HR), Information Technology, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Procurement, Corporate Affairs, and Risk & Safety. This is a full life-cycle recruiting position, which manages the entire recruiting process for high volume, entry level, individual contributors, and manager/director level associates with a wide range of profiles; and requires establishing relationships with hiring managers in the VCA Support Office. This role requires extensive candidate sourcing and the ability to communicate effectively with hiring managers and candidates. Our hiring managers are very active partners in the recruiting process and the recruiter must maintain and nurture those relationships. VCA has an established recruiting process to move candidates through the pipeline efficiently and some of the best recruiting tools available in the industry. A team of People and Organization (HR) associates within the corporate office will support this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage candidate and hiring manager expectations throughout the recruiting process
Source passive talent through referrals, networking, internet searches, cold calling, etc., and utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting resources and advanced sourcing techniques to identify talent
Screen applicants for qualifications, availability, interest level, relocation needs, etc.
Track key reporting metrics and prepare regular reports to track progress of candidates and related programs and maintain accurate and up to date documentation within our applicant tracking system (Workday) to maintain candidate data and reporting
Maintains networking contacts for sourcing/recruiting future applicants and responds to inquiries from the general public and prospective applicants regarding job opportunities and qualifications
Attend and support both internal and external recruiting and serve as an ambassador during meetings and events and promotes Employee Referral Program
Fulfills other related duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
5+ years hospital or retail sourcing/recruiting or similar field.
Experience in the Veterinary, Human Healthcare, or retail/service industries.
Experience recruiting for multi-site locations and within varying time zones.
Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter, database mining, Boolean search strings.
Proficient in Workday.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information.
