Versett Hiring For Email Copywriting Specialist at Ontario Full Time

Hi! I am Chloe Balmer, Email and Lifecycle Marketer at Kulin (pronounced Koo • lin), a digital marketing agency focused on helping build scalable strategies across all channels. We are looking for an Email Copywriting Specialist to join our growing team.

We’re a performance marketing agency focusing on the direct-to-consumer eCommerce industry. We partner with brands across many verticals, from haircare products and food & beverage to custom luxury sofas and biodegradable phone cases. Our clients are improving the lives of people around the world and we’re passionate about helping them achieve their goals. Our email and lifecycle marketing department works with clients to build, optimize, and scale lifecycle strategies through impactful campaigns, effective automations, and endless integrations. At the moment, we work exclusively with Klaviyo, supporting and managing migrations from other ESPs as needed.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This role will be focused on helping DTC brands write compelling copy for conversion-driven campaigns, automations, and opt-in points. The successful candidate will report to our Email & Lifecycle Marketing Manager. This is a full-time, remote position within Canada.

• You will create compelling copy briefs for email campaigns, automations, and SMS touch points for our design team to bring to life
• You will write clear, concise copy following the guidelines and established brand voice of our various DTC clients
• You will collaborate with Strategists and Designers to write copy that drives conversion and engagement via owned channels (email and SMS)
• You will support the email & retention team members with other duties, such as segment building in Klaviyo, reporting, and QA (quality assurance)

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• 1-3 years of copywriting experience, preferably in the DTC space
• Understanding of conversion-optimized copy principles
• Strong ability to write within brand guidelines and using a variety of brand assets
• Understanding of eCommerce, including familiarity with customer segmentation and lifecycle strategy
• Desire to empower and contribute to the growth and success of clients
• Results-focused with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and deadlines with support from Account Managers, Email Marketing Manager, and our project management software
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work as a part of a team
• Receptive to feedback
• Familiarity with Klaviyo or another ESP preferred
