VIIA Hiring for Supply Chain Manager at United States Full Time

Job Overview

As the Supply Chain Manager at VIIA, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our supply chain operations. This role will focus on forecasting, inventory management, and vendor relationships, while also collaborating closely with external partners handling product development. You will ensure that new product initiatives are efficiently brought to market, supporting seamless product flow from sourcing to delivery. As the business grows, you’ll help scale our operations, optimize costs, and maintain inventory accuracy.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll work alongside internal teams and external partners to ensure that our supply chain is agile, efficient, and prepared for future growth, particularly as we expand into new product lines. You will be the backbone of our supply chain and support the execution of product development plans executed by third-party partners.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Inventory Management:

• Oversee the forecasting of inventory needs, ensuring optimal stock levels across all product lines.
• Manage inventory levels to meet both current and future demand while minimizing overstock or stockouts.
• Implement strategies for inventory optimization, process improvements, and cost control.

Vendor Relationship Management:

• Lead the development and maintenance of relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors to ensure that VIIA receives the best possible value and service.
• Collaborate with external product development partners to ensure sourcing, quality standards, and timelines align with product launches.

Supply Chain Optimization & Process Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and implement solutions to optimize speed, cost-effectiveness, and agility.
• Continuously improve supply chain processes, from sourcing to distribution, ensuring smooth product flows and high-quality outputs.
• Regularly evaluate and update supply chain strategies to align with scaling needs and long-term company goals.

Collaboration with Product Development Partners:

• Work closely with external product development partners to ensure that new products are seamlessly integrated into the supply chain.
• Help operationalize new product concepts brought to market by external development partners, ensuring that sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution are aligned with timelines and quality standards.
• Manage the product lifecycle, ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to production, and product launch to replenishment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager and COO to integrate supply chain needs into broader business initiatives.
• Support the customer service and marketing teams with operational insights and supply chain data.
• Ensure the smooth integration of new products into our current operational framework, aligning all teams on product launches and availability.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting:

• Use data and key performance indicators to inform decisions around inventory, forecasting, and process improvements.
• Provide regular reports to the COO and Senior Operations Manager on supply chain performance, challenges, and potential areas of improvement.
• Continuously monitor the supply chain for performance against established metrics, ensuring that efficiency and quality are prioritized.

Support for Day-to-Day Operations:

• Handle operational tasks related to inventory management, vendor relations, and fulfillment logistics.
• Ensure that all supply chain activities support the company’s larger operational and business goals.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and resolving bottlenecks in the supply chain as they arise.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3-5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships, optimizing inventory, and implementing process improvements.
• Experience collaborating with external partners, particularly in areas such as product development, sourcing, and logistics.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and using software tools for supply chain management (e.g., ERP, WMS, 3PL OMS, Excel based models, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS) is a plus, but not required.

Other:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer businesses is a plus.
