Cover Supervisor

Wakefield

£70-£80 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a degree level qualification or previous experience working in a school.

The role

Are you looking for a career in education and would like the opportunity to be paid whilst gaining experience? There is currently a high need for Cover Supervisors at our schools across Wakefield on day-to-day, short-term and long-term contracts. We would be interested to hear from applicants who are recent graduates or who have a background as a HLTA/Teaching Assistant.

Cover Supervisors are responsible for the running and teaching of the class in the absence of the teacher. You could be teaching across year groups and subjects. It will be varied and a great way to further your experience in the classroom.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be dynamic and resilient and be confident in managing the behaviour of a classroom with up to 30 students, no two days will be the same. You will be fully supported by our client schools and have access to a dedicated consultant who will provide ongoing help and advice.

Requirements

To be considered for the Cover Supervisor position, you will:

• Hold a degree qualification or have suitable previous experience in education
• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Be a confident communicator who is able to use their own initiative when required
