Visiting Angels Hiring for Scheduling Coordinator Job at Scottsdale, AZ Full Time

Visiting Angels is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our ELITE team of Schedulers. We provide care for seniors who want to remain at home while adjusting their lives to the challenges that aging brings. We send our experienced and passionate caregivers in to the homes of our clients to provide companion services and assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) – allowing them to retain the highest quality of life in their own home.

As a Scheduling Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:

• Coordinate placement of caregivers with existing and new clients meeting the specific scheduling and shift needs for both client and caregiver.
• Provide supervision of caregivers to assure understanding and compliance with client Care Plans. Coordinate with other team members to identify caregivers that need additional training or other assistance
• Work closely with Care Coordinators regarding care needs for new clients coming on to service.
• Participate in new caregiver orientations to provide overview of caregiver expectations
• Provide all aspects of customer service with clients regarding a variety of needs and concerns. Adjust client/caregiver schedules as needed based on changing needs and priorities.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Coordinator in the hiring and orientation of new caregivers
• Cooperate with other team members in the administration of our caregiver performance system for consistent performance and quality of care delivered
• Coordinate with Community Liaisons to identify opportunities for coaching and mentoring of caregivers.
• Provide ‘On Call’ duties for after hours needs – rotating schedule with other office personnel.
• Other duties and responsibilities that will directly impact our efforts to find, hire and retain quality caregivers to meet the needs of our clients.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

• 1 – 2 yrs of Scheduling or Dispatching experience – preferably in the health care sector
• Excellent communication skills – positive and supportive
• Strong organization skills – Multi task and prioritize
• Effective time management
• Detail oriented – communication and documentation of interactions with clients and caregivers
• Intermediate computer skills – use of technology solutions for all aspects of role
• Innovative and creative – finding solutions and resolving challenges – thinking ‘outside the box’

Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 730a-5p and a On call rotation
