The Role

It will support all engineering aspects of Operational Capital Investment Projects from feasibility through to start-up for new equipment; processes, procedures, and systems; scoping/design, financial assessment and project handover/support.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Detailed scoping, design and costings for approval of Operational Capital Investment Projects
• Project Management of Operational Capital Investment Projects
• Installation and Commissioning of Operational Capital Projects
• Supporting identification and implementation of cost saving projects
• Development of good working relationships across the business and externally to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of Operational Capital Investment Projects
• Contractor management including management of costs and standards of work.
• Driving a strong culture of workplace health and safety awareness with high attention to detail

Qualifications And Attributes Required

• Professional engineering qualifications
• A minimum of 7 years’ engineering/engineering management experience in the manufacturing industry or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in managing an engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Quality Management, Health & Safety and other regulatory requirements
• A result oriented and continuous improvement mindset
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and externally.
• Demonstrable success in leading and motivating teams of technical professionals and contract staff
• Demonstrable strong project management and leadership experience
• Good planning skills with the ability to prioritise, manage and track multiple tasks.
• Strong reporting skills (planning, project, financial)
• Contract management experience
• A strong methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
