We are committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers and partners, and we’re seeking a Quality Assurance Co-Manufacturing Lead to be the quality champion for outsourced finished goods and to ensure our co-manufacturers meet Vitaco’s quality management system and product quality requirements.

The Role | He kōrero mō te tūranga

As our Quality Assurance Co-Manufacturing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the products that Vitaco sources from co-manufacturers’ are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the Vitaco quality management system. This role will work closely with our co-manufacturing partners to ensure all products released to market are fit for purpose and do not cause any brand reputation damage. Continuous improvement will focus on improving quality outcomes at our co-manufacturers. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will collaborate with various internal & external teams to ensure all products are meeting quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-Manufacturing Management – Quality Systems:
• Management of quality related functions with respect to co-manufacturing through regular reporting of quality related KPI’s and quality related information.
• Co-Manufacture Management – Assessment and Auditing
• To conduct the initial assessment of co-manufacturers & approval in conjunction with Head of Quality Assurance. Developing annual co-manufacturer audit schedule and carrying out audits.
• Reporting and Documentation.
• Conducting audit evaluation of process and outcomes. Corrective and preventive action by tracking and following up with verification of actions. Documentation completed as required for SOPs, CRIFs, CAPAs and Deviations.
• Product release and review
• Final release of packed/finished goods through KPI tracking. Carry out regular quality reviews. Conduct any customer complaint investigations and advise co-manufacturers and track their actions and responses.
• Speed and Cost
• All QA documentation for new product and renovated products completed so no delays due to QA co-manufacturer assessments and audits not being completed or unavailable. Participation in continuous improvement projects to help cut costs.

Education and Training:

• Tertiary qualification in science, food technology, pharmaceutical or a relevant field.
• HACCP qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

What you’ll bring | He aha taau e kawe mai

• Extensive audit experience including as a lead auditor.
• Minimum 5 years QA experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Experience in NPD or a production role in food is highly preferred.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.
• Great interpersonal skills to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
