Vitamin Angels (VA) is a public health nonprofit working to improve nutrition and health outcomes in low- resource settings worldwide. We strengthen, extend, and amplify the impact of our partner organizations working to reach the most nutritionally vulnerable groups – pregnant women, infants, and children – who are underserved by existing systems. We do this by delivering evidence-based interventions and offering technical assistance, including ongoing monitoring and evaluation, to ensure program quality, scale, and impact. VA works with over 2,000 local organizations, including governments, to reach more than 70 million women and children in 65 countries annually.

The part-time Learning Solutions Project Coordinator sits within the Learning Solutions unit (LS) on the technical assistance team. LS provides technical assistance to VA country teams and program partners to ensure high quality implementation of VA-supported interventions through the provision of training and social and behavior change programs and materials according to global best practices.

Role or Purpose of Position

As an important part of the Learning Solutions (LS) team, you will help the unit operate more efficiently and effectively through the provision of administrative support to our team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Assist multimedia designer in the preparation of Learning Solutions and other materials by managing translations processes and assisting with basic document formatting.

• Use MemoQ (translation management) software to coordinate translation projects
• Manage translators, editors and secondary reviewers
• Coordinate workflow between translators and LS unit
• Format translated materials in Adobe InDesign and other software as needed
• In collaboration with country advisors, ensure final documents are standardized across languages while meeting local program needs

Manage LS materials requests and project management using ClickUp

• Implement materials request form; periodically review and update form fields to ensure programmatic needs are met.
• Review new requests submitted through ClickUp
• follow up with point person with any questions
• Assign tasks to LS team members or translator for review and completion

Provide technical and administrative support for LS Technology platforms, as well as data management.

• Serve as primary point of contact for Learner Management System
  • Enter new users and/or support country advisors to enter new users directly
  • Run reports
  • Support users with log-in and completion issues
  • Coordinate with Torrance Learning for troubleshooting
• Periodically clean Learning Solutions data stored in Salesforce to eliminate anonymous accounts
• Maintain up-to-date list of LS Technology subscriptions and log-ins

Assist Continuing Education (CE) Manager in reporting, LMS support and accreditation compliance related to Continuing Education/ Medical Education courses

• Pull quarterly report of learners who completed CME course for credit
• Create and submit evaluation summary of learners to CE Manager for submission to OHSU
• Help manage CE inbox, troubleshoot, answer inquiries regarding credit and assist with user access and log in issues

Attend required meetings and provide project updates to the LS team, and assist with other LS and Programs functions as needed.

Reports to: Associate Director of Nutrition and Technical Assistance

Supervises: None at this time

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• B.A./B.Sc degree in Public Health, International Development, Global Studies, or a related field from an accredited university
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally and support globally diverse teams,
• Computer literacy,
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail,
• Superior written and oral communications skills,
• Superior interpersonal skills,
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle competing priorities
• Ability to manage stress, including but not limited to stress resulting from local travel, large crowds, open spaces, shared office space, and daily activities.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, including but not limited to prolonged air travel, and general job assignments perform at a desk.

Highly desirable:

• Fluency in a second language
• Experience performing program administration with an international non-profit organization,
• Experience working among underserved communities,
• Command of the essential elements of public health programming,
• Understanding of the role of nutrition in public health programming
