Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Establish as a go-to SME for VMware Cloud on AWS integration with native AWS Services Contribute to VMware Cloud on AWS strategic priorities by creating technical assets (blogs, videos, white papers) to highlight AWS integration opportunities and technical differentiators of VMware Cloud on AWS Well-integrated into the technical marketing group and the broader team

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

VMware is looking for an experienced  Technical Marketing Architect for VMware Cloud on AWS .  You will be called upon to leverage your skills and experience to educate technical audiences on the VMware Cloud on AWS service offering with focus on integration with AWS.  You will achieve this through the development of collateral such as blog articles, technical presentations, demos, videos, and technical guides to empower our field, partners, and customers.

This role will have a very strong emphasis on technical content creation – you will be expected to produce a variety of asset types in different levels of depth at a sustained pace. You will also be responsible for engaging actively with other teams who are the consumers of this content, and to refine and adapt your production to best suit their needs.  The research and testing required for the generation of this content will give you the opportunity to become a leading expert in the VMware Cloud on AWS offering, and enable you to promote this offering at conferences and other industry events.

The essential part of this role requires an expert level understanding of AWS services and offerings and a willingness to learn VMware hybrid cloud technologies.

Requirements:

• 2+ years working in an AWS Cloud Architect role including: designing, building and maintaining complex, cloud-based solutions on AWS
• Experience in designing and configuring highly available solutions on AWS
• Expertise on AWS Cloud-specific infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking)
• Solid knowledge of cloud networking, networking security, and routing
• Familiarity with VMware software-defined data center technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX
• Ambition to learn VMware hybrid cloud architecture
• Exceptional presentation, speaking, and writing skills are a must
• Self-motivated and able to deliver on projects after being given high-level objectives
• 6+ years of experience in technical marketing, pre-sales, professional services, or other customer or partner-facing roles with experience presenting to large and small audiences, both in-person and virtually
• Track record of developing and delivering quality technical material aimed at educating customers, partners or sales teams in a variety of media
