Voltegic Energy Services Ltd. is based out of Athabasca, Alberta with a branch in Slave Lake, Alberta. We specialize in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation, Burner Management and Field Operator services. This opportunity would be considered full time and be based out of the Athabasca office

Job responsibilities include:

• Work as part of a team in proactively managing safety paperwork & supporting documentation.
• Support staff for with any safety related paperwork and filing
• Complete office & shop inspections on a monthly basis
• Help set up new employees being onboarded with all the necessary safety courses they require, gather hire on packages and create folders in our safety/employee database for all tickets and orientations
• Keep up to date on the safety board with all pertaining safety bulletins
• Book safety courses for existing employees and keep track of all safety tickets along with expiry dates
• Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program
• Update tracking spreadsheets on a daily basis

Requirements:

• 1 – 3 years experience in a safety role
• Related post secondary education
• Safety certification training
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
• Proficiency with database applications and administration systems
• Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize
• Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and oral / written communication skills – including fluency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
