Wairakei Resort Looking for Operations Attendant (HSKP, FO, F&B) at Taupo Central, Waikato Full Time

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Food and Beverage Service Operations

• Promote sales of food and beverage to customers and guests.
• To organise and control the Food & Beverage service to maintain consistently high standards.
• To input ideas for wine and beverage promotions during the year and regularly review the Beverage list in consultation with the Food & Beverage Manager, outlet manager, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
• To assist the Food & Beverage Manager, outlet manager, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager as required for functions and banquets.

Housekeeping Operations

• Perform routine duties in cleaning and servicing under supervision of housekeeping supervisor.
• Ability to work independently
• Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guest.
• Good in time management skills with great customer service.
• Ability to follow instructions & changes of policies & procedures of the Department/Company.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of work areas, rooms, and public areas.
• Responsible for the Resort property care
• Attend to guest calls, guest requests/guest complaints when needed

Front Office Operations

• Responsible for daily operations including check in and check out, cashiering, ensuring all calls have been answered and inboxes cleared, and other task provided by Duty Manager completed.
• To be familiar with hotel policies and procedures and standards of procedure for Front Office
• Complete knowledge of all room types, hotel rates and packages, campaigns, promotions, and facilities.
• Meeting and greeting of tours, check-in, get dinner times, breakfast arrangements, bag delivery time, check out time and relay to relevant departments.
• To ensure hotel music system is acceptable and working.
• To drive a culture of direct bookings

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Be knowledgeable with and practise safe food handling practices
• Take orders and relay to kitchen team correctly to avoid any food allergic reactions or guest complaints
• Experience utilising hotel systems including Opera, HotSOS and POS systems
