Waitakere Resort & Spa Looking for Breakfast Chef – Part Time at Waitakere, Auckland Full Time

Waitakere Resort & Spa is a locally owned boutique hotel in the Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland. The hotel offers accommodation, conference venues, restaurant dining, and high tea service on the weekends as well as relaxing guest facilities such as outdoor pool, day spa, gym and sauna. 

We are looking for breakfast chef to join our kitchen team. This is a part-time role which would be 20 hours per week. This would consist of 5 shifts per week, each 4 hours long, from 7am-11am. The breakfast chef would have sole responsibility for providing breakfast meals to our hotel guests and assisting with preparation and delivery of conference morning teas when we have a conference in the hotel. 

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a passion for creating and delivering excellent dishes. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Must have the ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Would suit a chef looking for morning work only. 

Key qualities

• Previous experience as a breakfast chef in a restaurant or hotel kitchen of at least 1 year
• Can work well unsupervised
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Well organized with good attention to detail
• Passion for putting out well presented dishes
