We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to help shape the provision of nursing, midwifery and AHP education at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and The Royal Wolverhampton Trust. We are looking to recruit a motivated, innovative and knowledgeable individual with experience in education to join our dynamic and friendly team as the Post Registration Matron.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain post registration programmes to nurses, midwives and AHPs. We are looking for someone who is passionate about education with evidence of providing high quality education programmes and support to our registered workforce.

The post holder will have experience of line management, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to support the vision of education alignment at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust ( WHT) and The Royal Wolverhampton Trust (RWT)

Main duties of the job

• Develop a local CPD framework for Nurses, Midwives and AHPs ensuring that it is fully integrated with the Trusts strategic education direction.
• Work alongside academic partners to develop CPD opportunities and network with colleagues across the Trusts to share knowledge and opportunities.
• Develop local Education programmes responding to research, evidence, and audits.
• Provide leadership and line management to the Post registration teams at WHT and RWT
• Embed Preceptorship within the Organisations and consider an ICS approach.
• Support the Head and Deputy Head of Education to align education programmes across both Trusts.
• Lead and develop programmes to equip HCSWs, NAs, AHPS, Nurses and midwives with the skills to lead care delivery and redesign services.
