Waste Connections Hiring For Heavy Duty Mechanic at Hamilton, ON Full Time

Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Hamilton, ON to work on a fleet of garbage trucks. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will do a lot of hydraulics, brake jobs along with preventative maintenance and minor engine repair. You will be responsible for maintaining Waste Connections of Canada (WCC) vehicles and equipment in a safe working order. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all vehicles meet all provincial regulations and standards, and WCC safety standards.

Pay rate: $37.09 per hour

With OT and bonuses – Mechanics can make up to $80K – 90K per year

Shift timing: Monday-Friday from 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Location: 500 Rennie Street, Hamilton, ON

Requirements:

• 310T license mandatory
• 3-4 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests
• Valid CVIP license or ability to obtain one
• Commercial Driving License is an asset
