Introduction

The heart of our operation is the ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system called Nexus. This highly customized system allows for creating quotes, convert these to orders, and then produces all the printed output as well as the files for the machines in the plants to run the production from. It also provides the tools needed to provide after sales services, plan installations, and much more. We have an open position at Westeck for a hardworking individual who can provide support to the users, and ensure that new updates and changes to this application are in good order before we release it in our company.

Responsibilities and Duties

Nexus Support (approx. 75%)

· Provide training to new users

· Verify and approve new customer data entries

· Assist ERP users with support on-site, or through email, chat tool, video call or phone

· Investigate issues reported by users and create detailed bug reports

· Follow up with departments and individual users after new enhancements are rolled out

· Liaison between the technical departments and our developers, creating detailed documents

· Assist PM with task prioritizations

· Create documentation and tutorials

Nexus QA & Application Tester (approx. 25%)

· Perform regression tests and smoke tests on new releases using test scripts and check lists

· Create detailed bug reports for any issues found

· Test fixes and enhancements done by developers, verifying against scope in task

· Quality control on UI/UX designs and enhancements

Profile

· Self-starter; needs to be able to work with minimal supervision, while still a team-player

· Observing, service-oriented, friendly attitude

· Above average knowledge of MS Windows, Remote Desktop, VPN, Internet, et cetera

· Hard working and goal-oriented

· Very good spelling and grammar

· Good verbal and writing skills, and able to describe technical issues

· Excellent eye for detail

· Experience with ERP systems preferred

· Basic knowledge of window- and door manufacturing preferred
