Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in counselor education, or ABD with expected completion of doctorate by August 2023, from an accredited institution and CACREP -accredited doctoral program; evidence of, or potential for, expertise in master’s-level teaching in CACREP core curriculum and clinical mental health counseling specialty area; licensure or license eligibility as a licensed clinical mental health counselor/licensed professional counselor; experience teaching addictions course(s) and/or clinical experience; interest in role as field placement coordinator; experience and commitment to working with diverse populations. Applicants should demonstrate promise for excellence in teaching, a record of scholarship, and service.

Preferred Qualifications:

North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor or eligibility; supervision licensure or certification; experience or interest in teaching developmental perspectives, helping skills, group counseling, assessments, and practicum/internship.
