This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Saxophone and Clarinet Teacher to join the team of Visiting Music Teachers at Westminster Under School.
Visiting Music Teachers play key roles at the School, working alongside the Director of Music and the departmental team. There may also be the opportunity to lead co-curricular ensembles and assist in the planning and management of concerts and other music events, as directed by the Director of Music.
You will join a department that enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality and diversity of music created through its choirs, orchestras, jazz and wind bands, chamber music groups, and occasional stage musicals.
This is a part-time, term time only, temporary post on a fixed-term 1 year contract. Visiting music teachers are self-employed, and parents are invoiced directly at a recommended rate of approximately £51 per hour.
There is a requirement of approximately one day a week to be worked during term-time with this role, equating to ten lessons per term. The timetable for this is flexible and should be based around the availability of pupils.
Closing date for applications: Monday 6th February 2023.
Interviews will follow shortly after the closing date.
We are an equal opportunities employer. We therefore encourage candidates to apply irrespective of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belief, gender identity, sex or sexual orientation.
Westminster Under School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
