Whatever it Takes Trust is a unique organisation, we’re proud that we can offer mahi in a peer support, lived experience with mental health and addiction as well as chronically homeless supporting Whanau into social housing or properties. 

We have sites in Napier & Hastings Lighthouse, Manaia House, Housing First, Emergency & Transitional Housing, Tenancy, Outreach, Community Support and Residential Support, Community Support working in partnership with Health Centres, Mahea (Youth) with our Head office in Ahuriri (West Quay)

The Role:  Residential Support Worker (Casual):

We’re searching for kaimahi that have the skills to be able to support our Whanau in our residential sites with lived experience and a good understanding of residential practices and procedures.

It’s important our residential whanau live and enjoy being part of a community.  Hours: Monday-Sunday, rostered hours are 24/7 coverage. Varied hours are available so there is flexibility, (casual role).

You will be part of the Residential Team but also the wider WIT Whanau.

A full driver’s license is essential and ideally you are fully Covid-19 vaccinated.

Mental Health and Addictions Level 4 qualification or working towards this is essential.

Lived experience and peer support background is an advantage, but we have lots of support for the right person.
