Picker/Packer

This Role In Summary:
Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Picker/Position at our Fall River, MA location. This role will be responsible for working with the team to pick, prepare, pack and ship parts to customers.

Shift: 1st (6:30am-3:00pm) overtime as needed

Responsibilities Will Include

Search SAP to find part prints and part location, pick parts from assembly line (wire bench, NOVO, AD, Medium, etc.) and from service racks

Ready orders for packaging, scan parts to 100 production, and make kits

Choose boxes for packaging, match parts with orders, package parts, and add delivery sticker

Scan delivery order in FedEx, check shipping status and confirm that address matches delivery order in system

Scan delivery order, enter transfer order, and scan packing slip in SAP

Maintain cleanliness of workstation at the end of each shift

3S&5T implementation and maintenance (inventory, organizing, cleaning, etc.)

Adhere to and complete all safety requirements and tasks (Blue Tags, etc.)

Successfully implement WCM Methodologies (Tags, improvement ideas, Quick Kaizen, SOP, OPL creation and adherence)

Reduction of open line items (accomplish daily goals delivered/day)

Accomplishment of Daily box delivery target of boxes/day

Area cleanliness for process flow improvement

Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by area Supervisor or Department Manager

Will lift and move parts, carts and boxes weighing 35lbs. or more repeatedly

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma/GED

Experience in materials inventory

Experience in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Possess basic knowledge of world class logistics and division material flow

Effective communication skills

Strong analytical skills

Basic data entry, computer and typing skills
