White Lodging Services Corporation Hiring for VP of Rooms Operations at Merrillville, IN Full Time

Summary:
Provide operational support and leadership in the areas of front office, valet parking, laundry, and housekeeping (both full and select).

Responsibilities

• Work with Senior Leaders of the company in implementing rooms operations procedures and policies that fit the different size and brand hotels of White Lodging.
• Create yearly Rooms Operations strategic plan and company budget.
• Work with Learning Services to develop and implement rooms operations training.
• Provide support and expertise in the area of guest service scores and rooms operations expenses. Understand key measurements. Develop goals for service scores and expense compliance. Trouble shoot problems related to performance in those areas.
• Work with BI to develop meaningful reporting around guest service scores, rooms operations productivity and expenses, and other rooms operations KPI’s. Continuously improve the tools and work on the usability of those BI tools.
• Provide support and direction on White Lodging Way in the rooms operations area for both full and select service.
• Oversee the openings and acquisitions process-Work with various disciplines to maintain effective critical paths.-Support/facilitate communication with opening teams-Work with purchasing on the initial rooms-operations-related 5SU order-Support and facilitate communication with other corporate areas such as learning services.-Provide hands-on support during the openings process. -Support task force and other members of the opening team.
• Work with brand liaisons and RVP’s to resolve conflicts with White Lodging and brand policies.
• Oversee the company’s cleaning processes-Stayover cleaning processes, tools, and training-Questions about rooms cleaning-Questions about public area cleaning
• Maintain relationships and provide direction to national suppliers-EcoLab-American Hotel Supply-Carpet Cleaning-Parking Services-Other Rooms-Related suppliers (Uniforms, in-room supplies, etc)
• Work with the VP of Engineering on overlapping operational issues to develop and implement solutions that work.
• Ensure trends in QA trending are included in Rooms Operations training.
• Work with IT in overseeing the company’s intranet.
• Conduct testing of new processes and equipment.
• Create ROI’s for proposed changes in procedures or capital investments.
