Established dental practice in West Toronto (at Bloor St and Jane St, 5 minutes walk from Jane station) with 4 chairs looking for a dental receptionist who is committed, friendly and is looking for their “forever” home with an amazing, tight-knit team helping our kind and loyal patients.

The ideal candidate has a minimum 1 year of experience in dental reception, andis a graduate of a dental reception/ administration program. Also considered will be graduates of a medical office administration program, as well as experienced private medical office receptionists/ administrators (physio, optometry, chiropractic, etc).

You will be the lead/ solo office receptionist/ administrator for a busy 1 dentist (2 dentists working part-time, never on the same day), 1 assistant, 1.25 hygienist office. A sterilization assistant/ office receptionist floater is available 1-2 days a week (on days 2 hygiene are working).

If you are friendly and detail-oriented, outgoing, organized, efficient, a fast and independent learner, is able to take instruction and follow checklists well, up for a challenge, are open to learning more things as well as learning a new way to do things you already know how to do this could be the right fit for you! We would love to find someone who enjoys all aspects of dental reception duties and is looking for a career in the dental administration field.

Main responsibilities will be patient intake and care coordination, answering the phone, booking and confirming appointments, recalls, follow-up on dental predeterminations, billing and dealing with dental insurance, referrals, keeping track of invoices and paying office bills, helping keep track of office statistics.

The successful candidate will possess strong English communication abilities, proven interpersonal skills, and the desire to genuinely help our patients!

Hours are:

Monday 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM/ 7:00 PM

Tuesday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Wednesday 7:30 AM- 4:30 PM

Thursday 8:00 AM- 5:00/ 6:00/ 7:00 PM

Friday 7:30 AM- 12:30 PM

(Average 33h-37h/ week)

HOWEVER

Please note that as the office grows, your specific shift start/ end times and days may need to change (short or long-term) to include more evenings or one (possibly two) Saturdays a month.

Experience with taking assignment of benefits preferred

Familiarity with ABELDent preferred

NOTE: starting salary will be commensurate with level of experience
