WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

A talented and passionate bat ecologist who has specialist knowledge in New Zealand bats.

Someone who values diversity, and enjoys working with a team of dedicated ecologists.

MUST HAVE:

• Consultancy experience (desirable)
• Post Graduate Degree (MSc or PhD) in Bat Ecology

• DOC Certificate for Radio tracking for locating bat roosts, and bat handling certification

• Strong New Zealand ecology knowledge
• Sound field skills covering a range of ecosystems, habitats, and taxa
• Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand bats and ecological management
• Excellent report writing skills and networking skills
• Ability to communicate on appropriate technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of current potential clients
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• 4WD experience

Hours: Preferred hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (flexibility will be considered).
