Windsor Regional Hospital Looking for Covid-19 Screener at Windsor, ON Full Time

Reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor or designate, the Covid-19 Screener is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in regard to patient and staff COVID-19 screening, as well as other duties as assigned. The Covid-19 Screener complies with Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check for and organize necessary paperwork to check in outpatients and staff.
• Replenishment of inventory supplies.
• Check screening apps on mobile devices for the proper date and name/or screening forms.
• Direct staff and visitors to sanitize hands and put on proper PPE before entering.
• Transport patients and/or belongings to designated areas, when applicable.
• Maintain clear and concise communication skills, a helpful attitude and a compassionate nature.
• Proficiency in Application computer software, minor data entry and must maintain the highest standard of confidentially and privacy possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have Grade 12 education
• Must be able to work three out of four weekends per month
• Must be able to work all rotational shifts
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English
• High standards of sanitation and safety
• Reliable and responsible work standards
• Ability to work well with others and also with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to50 lbs. when handling supplies
• Must be able to stand/walk on hard floors for prolonged periods without causing undue strain
• Ability to work safely in accordance with all aspects of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
• Ability to work within a collaborative interdisciplinary team approach.
