Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving RTU’s and PLC’s. The Programmer must have prior experience and be competent in Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, Operations, and/or FSTs. This position also involves project management activities, including consulting with the customers, to determine their hardware, software, or system functional specifications. This employee must be customer-oriented, maintain excellent relationships and provide service to new and existing customers. The Supervisor may provide technical support to both customers and Winn-Marion employees and will supervise the Programing team. During project execution supervision may extend to troubleshooting and installation.

Job Qualifications:

• 2 – 5 years’ experience in I & E Field or Associates Degree in Instrumentation and Controls or Industrial Electronics.

• Prior experience in the Oil and Gas or Petroleum Industry desired.

• Prior experience managing a team of up to 10 people.

• Competency in PLC or RTU Programming required.

• Networking and Communications experience a plus.

• Good mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

• Ability to travel to various locations within territory required.

  Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have proven ability to program RTU’s and/or PLC’s. Platforms could include ABB, ABB Totalflow, Allen-Bradley, ROC, SCADAPack.

• Supervises the coordination, planning, performance, and development of company Programmers.

• Able to read and create logic based on Cause and Effect, Control Narrative and P & ID documentation.

• Ability to interface with customer to design/validate controls in the absence of formal documentation.

• Must use standard engineering practices to provide detailed documentation upon project completion.

• Perform troubleshooting, calibrations, installation, and startup at our customer facilities.

• Performs startup and commissioning of customer sites in remote areas which could include troubleshooting, installation, or re-installation of all aspects of automation provided by or serviced by the company.
