The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We are looking for a Registered Clinician (Nurse, OT, Social Worker or addictions counsellor) to join our Pathways opioid substitution team here in Masterton. You will report to the Addictions Service Team Coach.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm based in Wairarapa.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide people who experience opioid dependence with the right support and treatment
- Support people achieve their goals of safe maintenance or withdrawal from Methadone / Suboxone
- Educate and implement interventions/treatment options
- Working from a holistic approach and utilizing case management to support their treatment and pathway to stability.
- Providing support to Family/Whanau in the wider community.

Skills and experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
- Evidence of academic qualification that supports registration with DAPAANZ and / or the Nursing Council of New Zealand. AOD Counselling qualification and experience is of high value to our team.
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- A current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain.
- Ideally, you’ll have experience in addictions, mental health or different social sectors set within a DHB or NGO.
- Ideally, worked in an OST team, training will be given to the right candidate
