Tihei mauri ora. Inspire and lead taiohi (young people) in Rotorua.
About us | Mō mātou
Real believes mental wellness and wellbeing are possible for every young person. We support young people (aged 12-24) to build life skills, resilience and strong connections with their family and whānau, friends and communities.
Our spirit is “loving life”, and this is our goal for every young New Zealander.
Whetū Marewa (Rising Stars) is a primary health youth service in the Lakes region. The service aims to build the confidence, resilience and wellbeing in taiohi who are living with mild to moderate mental health and addiction related issues and social stressors.
Our skilled team of registered health professionals and youth workers offer a range of positive youth development methods like talking therapies, coaching/mentoring and kaupapa Māori interventions that focus on positive cultural identity.
This community-based mobile service operates within local schools and clinics to enable easy access to these supported interventions.
As part of our whānau, your practice of whanaungatanga and manaakitanga will bring mana to this kaupapa.
We will do whatever it takes to have every young person feel great about their future.
