Civil Construction Foreman
Wisper Internet is seeking a full-time non-exempt Civil Construction
Foreman to join our Construction Department. This position will report
out of our Mascoutah, Illinois location and will be responsible for
leading a civil construction crew in all aspects of new site build
construction projects to expand our fixed wireless network. This is a
new team and this position will be instrumental in building and
developing a collaborative group of construction professionals to expand
our growing Midwest Network. We are looking for individuals who align

Travel:75% overnight travel within our Midwest network; home on
weekends
Pay:$25-$28/hour
Hours:Monday thru Friday business hours, after hours as needed by
the business
Essential Job Functions
Build a culture of safety & consistently drive awareness
Primary driver & equipment operator, as well as hands-on support of
other positions on crew as needed
Ability to read & comprehend professional prints, CAD drawings &/or
Visio
Responsible for all aspects of utility locates according to municipal
standards; familiarity with public & private easements
Responsible for uploading close-out documentation and photographs to
company portal
Central point of contact on jobsites
Understand Scope Of Work & disseminate to crew as needed
Manage jobsite from start to finish while ensuring safety & efficiency
Work with local inspectors & quickly make field adjustments as needed
Ensure all work is completed to company standards with proper
restoration to all excavation areas
Keep vehicles, equipment, & tools inventoried, maintained & in good
working order
Provide updates to management on project progress
Other duties as directed
Job Requirements
2+ yrs demonstrated experience in Telecom OSP construction &/or related
industry
2+ yrs demonstrated experience in low voltage electrical
2+ yrs demonstrated equipment operator experience (Mini excavator, Skid
steer, etc)
Perform physical labor (hand digging with shovels, picks, & rock bars
etc)
Ability to travel away from home for up to 1 work week at a time
Current valid Driver’s License – CDL preferred
Operate truck with trailer
Ability to be added to Company auto-insurance policy
Regular & predictable attendance
Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring
sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future
